Dana Receives Ontario Grant to Develop Battery Cooling Technology

According to foreign media sources, Dana Corporation recently received a grant of 2 million Canadian dollars (2.02 million U.S. dollars) from Ontario to develop battery cooling technology.

This grant will help Dana to develop and produce liquid and gas cooled battery technology. Dana also conducted a battery cooling technology cooperation project with the University of Ontario. With this grant, Dana intends to invest $37 million in its plant in Oakville and Cambridge over the next five years.

Dana currently supplies batteries for 16 electric and hybrid models, including the Chevrolet Volendam, Ford Focus electric vehicles and the Tesla Roadster.
