An example of the election of the Erdente copper-molybdenum mine in the People's Republic of Mongolia

1 Introduction
The mine is located in the People's Republic of Mongolia, 322km from Ulaanbaatar and 121km from the Russian-Mongolian border. In 1941, the Erdente copper - molybdenum mine was discovered. In 1974 began the construction of mineral processing plants. In the first phase of the project in 1979, the capacity of processing 11 kt ore was reached, and the existing mining capacity (after completion of the expansion in 1982) was 44 kt/d.
2. Deposits, ores and mining
Erdente is a giant reticulated porphyry copper-molybdenum deposit. The ore body is a giant reticular vein in the granitic- diazoite . There are also a small number of mineralized hairs in the granitic-diazonite and surrounding rocks. The proven mineralized zone is 440m long, 1281m wide and has an average thickness of 397m. Now the ore reserves are 300Mt, with an average of 0.85% copper, 0.12% molybdenum and 0.25% molybdenum around the rock. However, the ore that was planned for the first few years of production has a copper content of 0.85 to 0.96% and a molybdenum content of 0.016%. ~0.017%. Under the shallow cover, the deposit is a porphyry copper deposit with leaching and oxidation outcrops. This layer accounts for 80% of the proven copper reserves, and the lower original grades are very low. The mine is used for open pit mining.
3. Mineral processing technology
The crushing process has a three-stage crushing process with a pre-screening. The crusher is made of conical type. A 1 m 2 ГСГ-72M heavy-duty vibrating screen is installed between the two sections. The final product size of the crushing section is -13mm.
Grinding and copper-molybdenum mixing floats use a closed-circuit grinding process, a rough selection and secondary selection process. Grinding ¢ 5 × 8.5m M ЩЦ ball mill and hydrocyclone closed circuit, product fineness of 65% -200 mesh. Rough selection of ΦM-12.5 pneumatic mechanical stirring flotation machine. The concentrate is re-milled after two selections and then selected twice to produce a copper-molybdenum mixed concentrate. Bulk concentrate through the steam heat-treated to strip agent, and then with oil floating coal molybdenum, Na 2 S suppression of copper of copper - molybdenum separation selection.
The additives added to the flotation are lime, amyl xanthate, kerosene, pine oil, sodium silicate and sodium sulfide.
4, the output in recent years
In 1980, it produced 487t of molybdenum concentrate and 47kt of copper concentrate. In 1981, it produced 660t of molybdenum concentrate and 80kt of copper concentrate. In 1982, it produced l000t of molybdenum concentrate and 118kt of copper concentrate. The products are sold to the former Soviet Union. The factory uses extensive automation.

Carbide Rods

Tungsten carbide rods are made of high-density tungsten alloys, which have good mechanical properties, such as high tensile strength, high temperature resistance, good ductility, etc., and are widely used in industrial fields.

The scope of application of cemented carbide rods

1. Tungsten carbide rods are suitable for micro drilling.

2. Tungsten carbide rods have good wear resistance and bending resistance. They are mainly used to produce extruded rods, and are suitable for general drill bits, cutting tools and other wear-resistant parts.

3. Tungsten carbide rods have good wear resistance and bending resistance, and are mainly used to produce extruded rods, small-diameter micro-drills, knives for watch processing, integral reamers and other cutting tools and wear-resistant parts.

4. The tungsten carbide rod is an ultra-fine particle tungsten steel material. This tungsten steel rod has the characteristics of high hardness, good bending strength, wear resistance, not easy to chip, and not easy to break. It is a special material for micro drills, widely used in tungsten steel milling cutters, engraving knives and wear-resistant parts
