Since the density of the dense medium separation medium with not very high, while the heavy medium beneficiation selected coarse particle size, it is heavy medium beneficiation in the process of removing the high density less dense gangue monomers as main job when a preselected metal ore, or for Surrounding rock mixed in during the mining process. For example, an aggregate of useful minerals disseminated lead zinc ore, copper ore, etc. Sulfur broken after a large number of monomers gangue output available heavy medium beneficiation be removed, so that it is no longer selected to the mill operation. Weakly magnetic iron ore and manganese ore mixed in the surrounding rock, can also be used to remove heavy medium beneficiation process. ( Note: The waste rock mixed in the magnetite is mostly removed by magnetic pulleys without heavy medium ) . Heavy medium beneficiation is also used in the selection of low grade rare metal ores and non-metallic ores. Further, the plant is selected from coal, heavy medium for beneficiation of coal lumps selected gangue.
"Gravity Die Casting. A permanent mould casting process, where the molten metal is poured from a vessle of ladle into the mould, and cavity fills with no force other than gravity, in a similar manner to the production of sand castings, although filling cn be controlled by tilting the die."
Sometimes referred to as Permanent Mould, GDC is a repeatable casting process used for non-ferrous alloy parts, typically aluminium, Zinc and Copper Base alloys.
The process differs from HPDC in that Gravity- rather than high pressure- is used to fill the mould with the liquid alloy.
GDC is suited to medium to high volumes products and typically parts are of a heavier sections than HPDC, but thinner sections than sand casting.
There are three key stages in the process.
