China Drying Network News According to the latest data from the National Association of Plastics Industry (SPI) Equipment Statistics Committee, the country's plastics machine industry will continue to grow this year.

SPI's year-end report shows that there were 2,849 orders for injection molding machines in 2011, an increase of 13% over the previous year. Bill Wood, an economist in charge of SPI statistical analysis, predicts that orders for injection molding machines in the United States are expected to increase by 10% in 2012. Wood also believes that in 2012 the production of injection presses will increase by 10% to nearly 3,000 units.

In terms of extrusion molding machinery, this year's twin-screw extruder shipments are expected to grow by 3% to 5%, and single-screw extruders may grow at a flat rate or slightly over the previous year.
