The first quarter of this year, the development of high-end CNC machine tools market is broad

In 2010, China's economy showed a strong recovery momentum. The machine tool industry continued the upward trend in late 2009, and the stability was good. Various economic indicators had approached or exceeded the 2008 level before the financial crisis. As the market recovered, the import and export trade of China's machine tools and tools also gradually recovered, and both import and export volume increased significantly. According to customs statistics, in 2010, the total import and export volume of China's machine tools and tools exceeded US$20 billion for the first time, reaching US$22.75 billion, a year-on-year increase of 57.5%. Among them, total exports amounted to US$7.03 billion, an increase of 48.4% year-on-year, and imports totaled US$15.72 billion, a year-on-year increase of 62.0%. The import and export deficit was 8.68 billion U.S. dollars, a year-on-year increase of 75.0%. The annual foreign trade of China's machine tools and tools products showed an upward trend in both imports and exports in the first half of the year, and a trend of high export speeds in the second half of the year.

In the first quarter of 2011, the machine tool industry was greatly affected by downstream demand. In the fixed asset investment of the downstream industry, about 60% was used to purchase machine tools. Driven by the support of national policies and the growth of downstream demand, the machine tool industry began to recover. In 2010, the output of metal cutting machine tools in China reached 755,000 units, an increase of 32.7% year-on-year; the output of CNC metal-cutting machine tools reached 224,000 units, an increase of 68.4% year-on-year, and the growth rate of CNC machine tools was much higher than that of the machine tool industry. During the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” period, investment in the industry, automotive, high-speed rail, construction machinery and other industries in the machine tool industry increased in investment and industrial restructuring, and the demand for medium and high-end CNC machine tools continued to increase.

According to the forecast, by 2020 the ratio of low-to-medium-end high-end CNC machine tools will reach 20:60:20, and the annual demand for mid-to-high-end CNC machine tools will be 120,000 units, which will have a broad market space. The medium-to-high-end CNC machine tools will usher in major development opportunities during the “12th Five-Year Plan” period, and the market space is vast.
