After three years of construction, the largest water balance automatic simulation monitoring system in China, the Lysimeter group, was completed at Shapotou Station. The Lysimeter group has 36 large-scale weighing lysimeters (diameter 2.28m, surface area 4m2, depth 3.35m). It integrates mobile greenhouses, intelligent precipitation simulation facilities and groundwater control systems to develop Lysimeter group data management information. system.
The project collected aeolian sandy soil and zonal soil and typical sand-fixing shrubs from four different sand areas in northern China and filled them into large-scale lysimeters to simulate the evolution of sandy land under different climatic zones with precipitation and groundwater level changes, and continuously and accurately monitor vegetation-soil. -Precipitation infiltration, groundwater recharge, soil water dynamics, evapotranspiration, plant growth, etc. in the sand system, through the simulation, monitoring and automatic control of various states and real-time transmission of data, realizing the monitoring and simulation of water balance in the northern sand area -Integrated research has improved the research capabilities of ecological hydrology and ecological physiology and ecology in sandy areas of China, and promoted the integration of hydrology, ecology and biogeochemical cycles.
The completed Lysimeter group is the only system that realizes linkage control of precipitation-groundwater synchronous control, simulation-quantization system control, large light steel structure moving greenhouse and precipitation simulator with 20m span. During the construction and equipment commissioning process, the scientific research personnel obtained a set of test data and equipment parameters, and established engineering construction specifications and technical standards. The acceptance expert group believes that the construction of the Lysimeter group will effectively enhance the research capacity of China's national defense sand control and further promote the networking research of key scientific issues in the northern sand area of ​​China.
