Salt Lake Group built China's first comprehensive salt and natural gas chemical project
After more than three years of construction, the first domestic integrated potassium salt and natural gas project with a total investment of about RMB 10 billion was completed and put into trial operation in the Salt Lake Group in Qinghai Province. The project uses the self-produced potassium chloride from the Salt Lake Group and the natural gas from Sebei to extend the two series of potash-alkali chemicals and natural gas-to-chemical industries. It is a closed-cycle, complex and complete salt gas chemical industrial chain. The project that has been completed and commissioned is a phase one project. The main installations include a heating center, an air separation unit, an annual production capacity of 45,000 tons of acetylene, and an annual output of 120,000 tons of potassium hydroxide. At present, the second phase of the project has entered the late stage of equipment installation. It is planned to start monomer vehicles, large-scale unit vehicles, linkage and commissioning tests from April to May next year.
