In order to seize the commanding heights of the new material industry, in recent years, Ningbo has stepped up its planning and guidance, initiated the preparation of the "New Ningbo High-tech Industry Base Planning", optimized the industrial space layout, implemented a series of policy measures, and focused on the development of magnetic materials and powder metallurgy products. , nanomaterials, polymer materials, new building materials, electronic special materials, high-performance sealing materials, environmentally friendly materials, new textile materials printing and finishing technology and semiconductor lighting materials, and other ten material applications development, proposed: by 2010 The average annual growth rate of the output value of the new material industry above designated size will reach 30%, and the output value of new material enterprises above designated size will reach about 100 billion yuan; by 2015, the average annual growth rate of the output value of new material industries above designated size will reach 25% or more. As an emerging high-growth industry, the steady development of the new materials industry cannot be separated from the strong support of technological innovation. In order to enhance the collaborative innovation capabilities of industry, universities and research institutes in the field of new materials, Ningbo has strengthened scientific and technological cooperation with domestic and foreign scientific research institutes and universities and colleges, attached importance to the flexible introduction and utilization of talents, and strengthened the construction of corporate R&D institutions. In recent years, Ningbo has supported the construction of 20 types of engineering centers and key laboratories such as Ningbo Materials Surface Engineering Center, Magnetic Materials and Device Engineering Research Center, Composite Materials Engineering Technology Center, and established 29 provinces and cities in the field of new materials. The Graded Enterprise Engineering Technology Center has focused on the introduction of large institutes and institutes for the construction of new material fields such as the Ningbo Materials Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the China Academy of Armed Forces Ningbo Branch, as well as the International Forum on New Materials and Industrialization of China (Ningbo), striving for international cooperation.
