The polyvinyl chloride polymerization mother liquid water is considered to be a more difficult chemical wastewater because it contains many organic substances and is difficult to biodegrade. Xinjiang Tianye Group adopted an anaerobic micro-organism plus ultrafiltration process to build a 110 cubic meter/hour polymerization mother liquid water treatment device, so that the effluent quality fully meets the requirements for recycling. This is the first set of mother liquid water biochemical treatment device for domestic PVC enterprises. At the same time, Tianye Group established a new closed circuit recycling process for calcium carbide slag supernatant by optimizing the water circulation system of the calcium carbide generation and clean-up system, which drastically reduced the wastewater discharge from the acetylene section.
With the successful application of the above water saving technology, Tianye Group's 240,000 tons of polyvinyl chloride units will achieve a water saving of 2 million cubic meters per year. If these technologies are extended to domestic calcium carbide polyvinyl chloride enterprises, annual water saving of 50 million cubic meters or more can be achieved, which is of great significance for achieving the goals of energy conservation and emission reduction in the chlor-alkali industry.
Chlor-alkali industry water-saving demonstration project completed

The project content includes dry acetylene generation technology, calcium carbide slag supernatant liquid circulating new process, polymerization mother liquor water recycling and other water-saving common technologies that affect the healthy development of the industry, can be widely used in the chlor-alkali industry.
