Chery plans to enter the European market in 2015 and achieve annual export of millions in 8 years

According to Automotive News, Lu Jianhui, deputy general manager of Chery Automobile, said at the 2011 Global Automotive Forum that the company plans to export to the European market by 2015.

On October 11, 2011, this year's Global Auto Forum opened at the new International Convention and Exhibition Center in Chengdu Century City. During the visit, Lu Jianhui said that Chery is currently focusing on emerging markets such as Russia and South America, which are also the main export markets for Chery; Chery’s goal is to start selling vehicles in the European market after 2015.

At the same time, Lu Jianhui revealed that Chery expects to export 180,000 vehicles overseas this year, which is more than double the 90,000 vehicles sold last year. It is estimated that in the next 7 to 8 years, the number is expected to increase dramatically to 1 million. Although Chery began to export from 2002, it has now become China's largest auto exporter.

As one of the efforts of the brand to go high-end and go abroad, Chery and the Israel Group have established Chery Quantum Co., Ltd., which is based on Western standards. It is expected that Qoros models will be exported to Europe in the next few years. Chery Quantum will disclose more details in November.
